Field of Green Slots Is a sports game that manages to dazzle you with winnings as well as context. Featuring great graphics, compelling jackpots, and an obvious love for the sport, this is not a game that skimped on any front. It plays for keeps, and will keep you hooked for hours on end as you roll spin after collegiate spin hoping to win enough money to go to college, put your kids through college, pay off your student loans, and related things. We had a wonderful time with it during our review, and can easily recommend it for players of all types, even those that are not big on the game.
The premise of Field of Green Slots is football, which is not to say soccer. American style football like the founding fathers played is what is on offer here, complete with everything you would come to expect from a sports themed slot. They really went all out with this in ways that show in the finer details, making this a joy for sports fans, but also something that anyone can appreciate.
Graphics in Field of Green Slots are pretty damn good. Everything is crisp, clear, colorful, and compelling to look at. Even the UI blends right in with the theme, and the background makes you feel like you are at a game itself. Not that you are not playing a game, just of a different sort.
The really nice details here extend outside of what you would expect from a football game. In Field of Green Slots, the suits are all in letterman form, bears and foam fingers are there to match, and it really captures the surrounding culture of football, not just the mundane facts of the game itself. It is a football theme game that looks like it was made by football fans, not someone that was asked to make a game about a sport they had never in their life played, let alone enjoyed.
Gameplay in Field of Green Slots does not disappoint. At 5 reels with 20 pay lines, it does not dazzle you there. It is a classic mold that does well, however, when the progressive jackpots and bonuses come into play. It is also very accessible, with bets ranging from a penny to $5.
The progressive jackpot is our favorite part of the game, as are the scatter symbols that can let you win up to $40k. It also seems to pay out well at a good pace, making this otherwise standard formula feel fresh and inviting given the theme and payouts.
+ Letterman stuff!
+ Great Jackpots!
- Gameplay is not very innovative
Who is this Game For?
This game is suitable for players of all types. In particular, it should appeal to:
* Players new to digital slots and looking for something relatively accessible
* Moderate intensity players that have gotten their feet plenty wet in the online slots world and are looking for something a little more involved
* Jaded slot vets
* People that mostly want to win a bunch of money playing digital slot games
* Players looking for slot nostalgia for the similarities and differences this slot has to other games
* People more used to normal video games that are looking to get their feet wet in the world of online slots
Who is the Game NOT For?
Although we enjoy this slot, it is not for everybody. In particular, it may not be your cup of tea if this describes you in any fashion:
* Averse to winning money online
* Looking for something truly innovative in the genre
* You find the theme in any way offputting
Is it Buggy?
In the time we spent playing this game, we did not encounter any bugs, problems, or errors. The same cannot be said for all slots of this genre, so we commend the developers for a job well done on that. We also encountered no issues in processing winnings or payments, and everything ran very smooth just like you would expect across many varied devices in a variety of ecosystems and operating systems.
We really liked Field of Green Slots during our time spent playing it, and we are not even football fans of any kind. It pulls no punches and executes everything it sets out to do with stylistic flare. Whether you like the sport itself, have a love of money, or are one of the lucky ones where those two interests overlap, you will love Field of Green Slots. It plays well, pays well, and is gorgeous to look at. We only wish they had some nice cheerleaders in the mix to make things a little more interesting from time to time like purveyors of the sport themselves have been kind enough to do.
